Kim Rees at the Visualized Conference, New York City

We were very happy to join the discussion at the inaugural Visualized Conference that was held in New York City in November.

Periscopic co-founder, Kim Rees, gave a presentation entitled Seeing Data which discussed a bit of our process for turning data into visual data. She talked about how we confront the emotion of our data, find relationships, and other ways to draw out the visual nature of data.

As the organizers describe it, the conference was an inspiring two-day gathering with the brightest minds and social innovators from around the world who are changing how we understand and interact with data; and gain insight into designing data-driven narratives that connect with audiences and visualize the human experience.
